First Steps is an outreach of Farmville Baptist Church. Their mission is to provide a comfortable, secure, loving environment where children will learn and grow under the supervision of qualified Christian teachers.

The curriculum is traditional Christian teachings and activities that they have designed to deliver the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of early childhood. Their "hands on" learning experiences will strengthen  your child's development and prepare them for kindergarten.

Farmville desires to have a blended style of worship that includes both hymns and contemporary worship songs. There are many ways to serve within our worship ministry, including:

Our men’s ministry includes opportunities to gather for fellowship, mission projects, and church work-days. In addition to a Men’s Sunday School class, we also have 3 small group opportunities for further discipleship through Bible study:

Meeting Times:

Monday - 5:30am

Tuesdays - 8:00am & 6:30pm

The ladies ministry gathers several times throughout the year for fellowship, discipleship, and ministry opportunities. During the spring and fall, there is often a Bible study that meets on Tuesday mornings.

Meeting Times:

Tuesday: 9:30am in room 207

At Farmville we have a thriving group of college students who meet together to worship, fellowship, and learn about God. Student Pastor Shane Yancey has a Bible Study every Thursday in the Fellowship hall at 6:30 p.m. Each week we will eat a meal together and then open God's word to learn more about him. Our meetings end with small groups where you can learn more about other students and share your life stories with them. This group is tight-knit and loves doing things together on Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and more throughout the week.  If you want a place to belong and you are a young adult or college student, come join us!

Farmville Youth meets every Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. to fellowship and learn about God and life. If you are in grades 7th-12th and are looking for a place to belong then you should give Farmville Youth a try. Each week we hang out, study God's word, and learn how to apply that word to our lives. We also spend a few minutes in small groups where we pray for each other and have an opportunity to develop deeper relationships. We would love to have you join us in the Student House for Bible study this week!

Our Children's Ministry at Farmville is all about creating positive, encouraging relationships. We strive to foster a nurturing environment where children can have fun, build confidence, and develop a strong foundation of Biblical truth and morality. All of our activities focus on teaching children in fun, exciting, age appropriate ways. That means lots of activities, games, music, videos, and real-life applications to lessons.
